Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your LG Electronics Dryer.
Clean the Filter Regularly
The filter should be cleaned after each load. Check the filter before each use and clean it if the 'Clean Filter' light becomes illuminated. This will reduce drying times, lower energy consumption, and extend the life of your dryer.
Empty the Water Container
Ensure the water container is emptied after each use to prevent overflow and improve drying efficiency. This step is crucial for maintaining optimal dryer performance.
Clean the Condenser
The condenser should be cleaned three to four times a year, or when the 'Clean Condenser' symbol is displayed. A clean condenser is vital for efficient drying performance.
Vacuum Ventilation Grills
Vacuum the front ventilation grill 3-4 times a year to remove lint and dirt buildup, which can obstruct air flow and cause the dryer to function improperly.
Check Air Ventilation
Ensure that the air ventilation grill or rear vents of the dryer are not obstructed. Proper ventilation is necessary to prevent overheating and ensure effective drying.
